Analyzing the Flower
The bud on the left has trichromes glistening with a shine that gives them the appearance as if they were droplets of water. But the bud on the right is coated somewhat evenly with what could only be described as mind sugar.
Both of these beautiful examples of cannabis provided highs that were wonderful in their own special way. The green, orange, and golden appearance of one bud in comparison to the dark green bud, with hints of purple, and an overloaded coating of trichromes in certain areas provide for an absolutely astonishing range of contrast, which is just the beginning.
Studying the amount of diverse varieties found throughout cannabis plants is something that starts a wonderful journey, filled with beautiful surprises for the eyes, exhilarating smells for the nose, and mouth watering flavors for the taste. And this all begins before mentioning the different effects people will experience in their mind after the herb has bonded with them.
The striking differences between these two lovely, lip smacking buds shown in the picture above presents a glimpse into part of a spectrum that continues to grow.
Breeders are mixing and matching genetics with one another to produce some of the most amazing flavors of cannabis. It’s a wonderland for consumers and a laboratory of delights for connoisseurs.
Studying cannabis by comparing the range of looks, smells and tastes of these plants is the essence of Herbology.
We observe, analyze and document the effects many different combinations of cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids produce. This creates a library of information that adds to the overall collective knowledge from which all of us may learn.
Thanks are gladly given, but also very much owed to the amount of growers, connoisseurs, and enthusiasts who have shared their insights to bring us this far in the field of understanding cannabis.
All of us here at Herbology continue the journey every day to learn more about cannabis, and freely share our knowledge with everyone in the cannabis community.
