Diamond Infused Cannabis Flowers

Medicinal Quality

I recently received some buds from a company that are labeled “Diamond Infused.” The company is reputable, and the dried flower looks good, but there were a few things that stood out to me as I began to analyze the contents.

First and foremost the flowers were dense and covered with a frosted coating, it looked as if someone rolled it in T.H.C. flour Yes, it seems as if they rolled the flower in flour (no pun intended).

As I broke the bud apart it crumbled fairly easy, and there was bits of the T.H.C. extract known as diamonds that fell into the paper. So I rolled it, and began to prepare my ritual for consumption.

The taste, this was something that was not too appealing to me. Terpenes from this infused flower tasted as if they came from the bitter part of the spectrum. Black pepper, cloves, and few other spices may contain some of the terpenes I felt were what created part of this bud’s spectrum of flavor.

Enduring the taste, I pressed on. It smoked medium on a scale of pull to smoke ratio. The bud didn’t seem to lack any ability to burn consistently. But the amazing thing was, as I endured the taste of which I was not a fan, I noticed myself holding about a third of the joint between my fingers in my semi-cupped hand. It reminded of the days when guys sold bags of weed on the corner saying “I got that half-joint action.”

Yes, this bud had me stuck in a position as if I was an actor in Madonna’s video Vogue. I was voguing; sitting still as if my mind was frozen in moments by the power of this concoction. It reminded me of some really good weed I had encountered a while back, which made me ponder a thought, with my joint in hand, for a minute or two.

I wondered; being that I had experience amazing cannabis like “The Hawaiian Stuck,” which was given this name due to its ability of having a person “stuck” in the position of holding the joint in hand after taking a hit. But with bud with the quality of Hawaiian Stuck existing, “Why wouldn’t I just smoke bud like that instead of anything that was infused?”

The answer seemed to point towards missing strains. There is no place to easily find those kinds of buds on the legal market, but infused mixtures are everywhere. This is a subject I’m going to delve into a bit deeper in future articles. But the question I don’t hear many people ask is, “Where are all the high quality strains strong enough to compete and even surpass these infused cannabis products we see everywhere?”
